Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is a classic Italian pasta dish that’s quick, simple, and packed with bold flavors. Made with garlic, olive oil, chili flakes, and fresh parsley, this dish is perfect for a quick yet satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 100g spaghetti
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red chili flakes, sautéing until the garlic turns golden, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss it in the garlic-infused oil. If needed, pour in a bit of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
